Although many highly qualified and experienced managers will be combining their expertise to help you achieve your goals, the following executives are ultimately responsible for your success — as well as ours.


John R. Yaissle - Managing Director, Cornerstone Advisors

As the original Founder and Managing Director of Cornerstone Advisors, Jack has become an advisor and confidant of many of the firm's business and estate planning clients. As an entrepreneur himself, he has unique insights into the challenges of serving this market segment. Jack was one of the pioneers of this industry and is nationally recognized as an authority on business and estate planning issues.

Jack is Vice President of Cornerstone Institutional Investors, Inc., and a Director of Cornerstone Advisors Asset Management, Inc. He has been an active member of AALU for more than 30 years and has served on numerous National committees.

Jack is a graduate of Lehigh University and has received the University's Alumni Award for outstanding service to the school. Jack is active in many professional organizations and holds the designations of CLU and ChFC. He is actively involved in several philanthropic organizations with a focus on underprivileged children. He is currently on the Board of the Bethlehem's ArtsQuest Foundation.


Malcolm L. Cowen, II- Managing Director, Cornerstone Advisors Asset Management, Inc.

Skip is the Managing Director of Cornerstone Advisors Asset Management, Inc. and President of Cornerstone Institutional Investors, Inc. He brings over 20 years of investment experience to the firm. He is responsible for the strategic direction and management of Cornerstone’s institutional investment consulting practice.

Skip sits on the Board of Directors of Cornerstone Institutional Investors, Inc., an FINRA Member Firm and is also a Director of Cornerstone Financial Consultants, Inc. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Companies' Investment Policy Committee and is the Chief Compliance Officer for Cornerstone Institutional Investors, Inc. Since 1999, he has also served on the Board of Directors for M Financial Investment Advisors, Inc.

A 1981 graduate of Gettysburg College, Skip completed his MBA at Lehigh University in 1986 and obtained a Masters Degree in Taxation from Villanova Law School in 1996. He has been a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) since 1989, is a General Securities Principal, a Municipal Securities Principal, and is a Series 7, 63, and 65 representative.


Thomas J. Scalici - Managing Director

Tom is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Cornerstone Institutional Investors, Inc. Mr. Scalici is responsible for the daily operations of our Compensation Planning business, including the analysis, design, communication and implementation of qualified retirement plans, executive compensation programs, and group benefits.

Tom sits on the Board of Directors of Cornerstone Institutional Investors, Inc., an FINRA Member Firm. He is also a Director of Cornerstone Financial Consultants, Inc. and Cornerstone Advisors Asset Management, Inc. He has served as Past President of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the International Association of Financial Planners (IAFP), has been a guest speaker for the Society for Human Resource Managers (SHERM) and has been published in Better Homes and Gardens Family Money Magazine. Tom has also been nominated by Plan Sponsor Magazine as one of the top retirement plan advisors in the country.

Tom is a graduate of Gettysburg College. He has earned his life and health insurance licenses, is a FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 representative, a FINRA registered General Securities Principal, a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS).
